Adam's $4000 Song Placement in the Hit TV Show "Shameless" Only Took 3 Hours to Write & Produce

Artist: Adam Searan
Song: When I'm on Fire
Placement: "Shameless"
In this interview, Adam shares the story of his song "When I'm on Fire," and how the total time spent writing and producing the recording took less than 3 hours!
His production process was rather simple, utilizing Maschine, a Laptop, and bluetooth speaker, he completed the production during his co-writing session.
The foundational element to "When I'm on Fire" has a heavy stomp/clap feel, often referred to as a "Swag Track," which have seen a large increase in sync-placements over the last few years.
Adam is a member of the Master Music Licensing community, and watching the progression of his career has been astounding. From working at Verizon, to now being a full-time songwriter with a publishing deal and multiple sync placements, he says, "The advice and guidance I've received from Michael has been life changing for me, and resulted in a complete career change. There are times I can't even believe I've made over $100,000 just by implementing what he taught me."
He talks about how essential it is that the artists & songwriters he works with understand the licensing process, as the sync world works very quickly.
This particular placement generated an upfront sync license fee of $4000, and we haven't even begun talking about the back-end performance royalties!
