The Savvy Musician Podcast Pt. 1

One of the biggest complaints I hear from musicians is regarding the fees they are charged in order for someone to listen to their songs, pre-judge them, and potentially forward them on for a sync opportunity.

This has turned many phenomenally talented musicians into skeptics when it comes to licensing their music, and including that as a viable source of income for their careers.  After all, the music industry can be incredibly predatory, and there are plenty of unscrupulous companies that prey on the dreams of musicians day in and day out.

But it’s my mission to empower musicians and show you what it takes to bypass those sleazy middlemen, and take control of your licensing success.

Change My Mind...

Recently I was asked to be a guest on the Savvy Musician Podcast with Leah McHenry.  What’s very interesting about this particular podcast is that from the start, Leah wasn’t a fan of licensing music.  Like many other musicians, at one point she had invested time and money, as well as hopes and dreams, into some of these companies, with zero results.

In this Two Part Podcast Series, which is aptly titled “Sync Licensing Sucks: Change My Mind,” we discussed everything music licensing…. and in the end, I changed her mind.

Knowledge Truly IS Power!

If you’re on the fence about pursuing the sync licensing world with your music, invest some time into this podcast.  There is a lot of misinformation circling around on the inter-webs... and it's just that - misinformation.  Don’t miss out on utilizing this outlet for your music simply because you didn’t know what’s possible.  Knowledge Is Power!
